Biscuit Decorating

Today Te Ranga Tera Prepared a Biscuit Decorating for Everyone and their Soul Friends.

We had 2 Biscuits each and the lollies were Sprinkles,M&Ms and Gummy Bears.

My Experience for it was Fun because making Biscuit decoration with our Soul Friend's was cool.

Camp Experience

My Personal Reflection at Camp was that it was Fun.We all had a great time enjoying ourselves.I experienced great team work throughout the time that we were at Camp.There was also Laughter and Enjoyment with people that we don’t usually hang around with.My Favourite Activity was Planks and Poles where Sonya’s Dad Sunny was.It was my Favourite because it was all about teamwork.

Home is where the heart is.

Is a House really a home when your loved ones is gone.

Home is so special to me because that is where I have most of my childhood memories.I have only lived in one house my whole life.I like to travel but I always get a feeling at the back of my head I want to go home and I miss my family.

Home is like a special place or country for you for example my home is New Zealand.Home is where you are comfortable.A home is a place where you share your memories.

But a home is where your family, your love, your memories are. A home is where stay and where you grew up there and you belong there.A home always feels different when someone is not there.

At the end of the day My Home is My Home because I know when I am Comfortable all the time because I am Home.A Home is where you longed to be.

Expressive Writing

If I could play in the NFL. That would be a Gigantic or the best dream come true.Since growing up the main Sports in my family was American Football because of my Dad.He played for a Team called Metro Lions who are part of the AFA(American-Football-Auckland) My Dad was a Former player who played for 14 years.

But he gave up playing due to the lack of Coaching Staff later he became a Coach in the late 90’s and is now currently the President.Metro Lions were founded by Stowers Family.The Reason why I want to play is because it is not only my dream but is my family tradition.

My Favourite Position is Quaterback because I like to throw the ball and I think I can throw it pretty Far.My Favourite team is the Seattle Seahawks and Favourite player is Russell WIlson who is the Quaterback of the team.I want to play for the Metro Lions when I am 15yrs Old for the Juniors which are the Under 16’s.

Reflection on our Kindness Assembly

When we were doing our Assembly I learnt that kindness is not only acting friendly but is the meaning for many things.Kindness can be how you are nice to others and how you make their day or when you help a old lady cross the road.

Kindness to me is not only a virtue but is a way of life because like how Jesus lived his for the fullest of others.Living in kindness is like following in the footsteps of Jesus.Kindness is like being fair to others and giving then the respect they need.

Cousin's Birthday

Waking up full of excitement and energy because I had been waiting to visit my cousins. It felt like I hadn’t seen them in years for some reason.

The Birthday plan was to watch The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 3D at Imax Cinemas on Queen St. We had to reschedule to a later viewing of the movie because my Aunty and Uncle arrived late.

We had Yum Cha for lunch to fill in time before the movie started.

My Favourite dishes at Yum Cha were BBQ Pork and Sweet and Sour Pork, to top it all off with a mini Ice-Cream ball. My Favourite Parts in the movie were the showdown between Spider-Man and Electro and the different OsCorp suits.

My day was Awesome Meeting up with Cousin’s and celebrating a Birthday. I got to watch Spider-man’s latest movie and eat at  new restaurant .

E-Asttle Writing-Good friend explanation

A good friend is someone you support you or supportive in what someone does because if were really someones good friend you can be helpful,caring and trustworthy of that one or many people.

A Good friend to me is someone who can take of you when you are feeling down,to be a Good friend your friends don't have to depend on you if they are stuck because you are there and you can help fix in whatever they need.For example if you are stuck in maths you can help them by showing them some strategies to work out the problem,Good friends do good because they have good they don't do bad because they are good friends and they don't have bad in them because you they loyal to and she/he are loyal to them in a way like if them or you are getting bullied them or you would stand up them and tell the bullies to pick on someone their size and give comfort,Good friends don't always have to help you because they can in many different ways not just to but to other people like if they are in society and elderly person has fallen down you can be a good friend of your good friend can help them up because that is my knowledge about being a good friend or what a good friend can be.

My understanding now of a good friend is he/she you can talk to if you have trouble at home like if you are speaking to your mum about school

because good friends can sit down have chat and they leave your side until they find a way to help or if they suggest to him/her so they can do something about it.You can tell if people are good friend because they are willing to do anything and even to one another's enemies and people they don't like,Good friends are people who like their enemies and that even support them if they even need help and some even enemies support you or your good friends so that means to me that anyone can be your good even if it's your worst enemy.

My Formal Complaint

Dear Footlocker,

I came into your store on 17th December 2013 and did some shopping. I received great customer service from sales assistant Matino and really  enjoyed my overall shopping experience.

However, I bought two pairs of your Gamma Blue Air Jordan 11 Retro sneakers. The adult size had a rip in the tongue of the shoe and the child size had several scuff marks and scratches. Bystanders were astonished at the poor condition of my purchase and advised I swap them both for two new pairs.  

On the box it clearly states these shoes are ‘number one worldwide’ as well as being ‘the best known sportswear and footwear retailer’. This complaint is mostly directed at the store manager and Auckland district manager. I expect a written letter of apology and a full refund for $400.00 or I will take legal action.

Playing Basketball

My Favourite to do or play when I have free time is Basketball,Basketball wish to play when I was young,I play Basketball at School and at home.

I learnt about Basketball when I was young because my brothers always use to play outside with Basketball hoop,Since I was I would be on sitting outside and watching them and I and used the laptop discover things about basketball almost everyday.

I wanted to be one of the greatest players that have played Basketball like Legends Michael Jordan or Bill Russell,I guess I've got a long journey ahead of me if I want to be successful in Basketball.

My Special Place

A Special Place for me is some I can relax,I can take my time to do anything anywhere in My Special Place.It’s somewhere I can take my Friends to Chill out or to play with them.

My special place is my home,My home is somewhere I can do anything I like because I am at my free will.I do anything from Play the PS4,to Dashing around with my Family,It’s somewhere I can Pray to God when I’m alone or Reflect on something bad I did at School.I do reading and Homework when I’m Depressed or Saddened.It’s dazzling what I can critically achieve when I am focused

My Soul Friend

My soul friend’s name is Telesia.She is 8 years old and her birthday is on the 28th of June.She has two brothers and four sisters.She loves listening to Katy Perry while doing her favourite subject, Writing.She loves looking into the sky because her best colour is blue, while she is eating her favorite food,Sticky rice.

Her favourite fruit is banana.She likes to eat banana’s before a game of basketball for Physical Education with her Favorite teacher, being Mr Gaffney.At home she loves to watch “Nickelodeon” but especially the program “Jessie”.She likes to race around and play Tiggy with her sisters.

She is Samoan and gets bored easy because she doesn’t like to wait around doing nothing because she is motivated to try anything in life and I would love to have her as a soul friend for the rest of the year.

My Holidays

In the School Holidays was super awesome for me,I’d got to play a real game of American Football and Celebrated my Birthdays in the holidays.Firstly it was the Gridiron game.I Was told to gear up because the Juniors did not have enough players,unfortunately they had 10 players turn up but elven it the amount of players you are required to have to play a a American Football game.I was so excited it was my second game of gridiron I had ever played,but when the game started I did not have that exciting feeling any more i had a different change of tone.The game was now furious,kick off bang! the ball went flying in the sky people were flying at each other like if they were ramming their heads against one another,by half time Metro Lions were beating the South Auckland Raiders 21-0 with bumps and bruises,by the end of the game we had won 49-14 it was all over even if people flying everywhere we had accomplished what we had set for,The other happy part of my holiday was my birthday. We went to bowling and the Hoyt's cinema's on queen street in town,I invited friends and Family to come join which they did,Bowling was a awesome experience but I came second to my older brother.We were now off to the cinema's to watch anchorman 2 it was funny comedy starring actor's such as Will Ferrell,Paul Rudd, and Steve Carrell,by end of the movie it was a epic night for me and my holidays

Kayaking at Orakei Basin

At Kayaking I had a awesome Experience,It had been my second time to  Kayak,We were split into 2 groups,year 7&8 but 2 year 7's were included in the year 8 which was Sefesi and me.Year had to walk around the Basin while the year 7's went Kayaking near the shore.

We Jogged around the long Basin that nearly took us  1 whole hour,by time our little Group(John,Jordan) got back it was almost time for the year 7's to get out.

we started of with a game,we had to grab the paddle to the side of us,Unfortunately I was Eliminated but was a awesome game.Finally we pushed the boats out and went Kayaking, The highlight of my day was going out kayaking and having a awesome time.

Reflection on Manaiakalani Film Festival

On Wednesday 13 November Yes the 6th annual Manaiakalani Film Festival,Every School around the cluster get the chance showcase the ideas of what there movie is about or learning they have done.

Manaiakalani Film Festival had to be one of the best,School Films to this year there humor was funny and exciting.It was kind of like going to watch comedy film for me.

My favourite parts or favourite films of the festival was the SPX Room 7 film Friends and the Bug in the Classroom from G.I Primary,The Best Actors were from St Pius X in Opinion.

Overall it turn out to be a wonderful experience

Cross Country

Cross Country is a sport event that involves long distance running. You are given a specific place to run in Cross Country. Our Senior Syndicate route went  up Castledine Crescent, up Apirana Avenue around Cintra Place and back down to Castledine Crescent.

All of Saint Pius students had to gather in the tennis courts. The senior syndicate were told to line up in their age groups starting from 8 to 13 years old. We were separated into lines and everyone was involved.

Cross Country only happens once a year at St Pius. My year group was the 11 years olds. Like some other seniors the 11 to 13 year olds had to run twice and others did the run once,

the day ended with the Junior Syndicate having their  run on the field.  

The school bell rang and everyone got into their lines ready to go back into class.  The races made everyone tired and exhausted.  It was a fun day full of hard work running around the neighbourhood.
