Why Home is so Special

Home is where the heart is.
Is a House really a home when your loved ones is gone.

Home is so special to me because that is where I have most of my childhood memories.I have only lived in one house my whole life.I like to travel but I always get a feeling at the back of my head I want to go home and I miss my family.

Home is like a special place or country for you for example my home is New Zealand.Home is where you are comfortable.A home is a place where you share your memories.

But a home is where your family, your love, your memories are. A home is where stay and where you grew up there and you belong there.A home always feels different when someone is not there.

At the end of the day My Home is My Home because I know when I am Comfortable all the time because I am Home.A Home is where you longed to be.

Expressive Writing

If I could play in the NFL. That would be a Gigantic or the best dream come true.Since growing up the main Sports in my family was American Football because of my Dad.He played for a Team called Metro Lions who are part of the AFA(American-Football-Auckland) My Dad was a Former player who played for 14 years.

But he gave up playing due to the lack of Coaching Staff later he became a Coach in the late 90’s and is now currently the President.Metro Lions were founded by Stowers Family. The Reason why I want to play is because it is not only my dream but is my family tradition.

My Favourite Position is Quaterback because I like to throw the ball and I think I can throw it pretty Far.My Favourite team is the Seattle Seahawks and Favourite player is Russell WIlson who is the Quaterback of the team.I want to play for the Metro Lions when I am 15yrs Old for the Juniors which are the Under 16’s.

Why God created me

Milk Science

CHILLY MILK EXPERIMENT:

PURPOSE:   TO OBSERVE AND RECORD THE CHANGES WHEN DIFFERENT MILK IS PUT IN THE FREEZER.

WHAT YOU NEED: a selection of 3 different type of milk
clear container.

WHAT TO DO: Put  an equal volume of each type of milk in a clear container
Place each container in the freezer
Record what happens to each type of milk as it freezes.  Note its colour,
texture and shape.
Record the time it takes to each variety to freeze.

Type of milk
what it looked like once it had frozen
Time taken to freeze
Soy Milk
Whitish Creamy Runny
30mins
Condensed Milk
Yellowish - Whitish
30mins
Up & Go Milk
Chocolate - Brownish
50mins

The Result - We expected all three to freeze but we were surprised from the condensed milk from freezing.  The up & go and soy milk froze.  We questioned ourselves which one froze more.  But we knew it was up & go because the water % was higher than the soy milk.

Conclusion - We learnt the ingredients in the condensed milk.  Also we learnt why the condensed milk did not freeze.  The reason why the condensed milk did not freeze is because there was more sugar and fat than water.  If the condensed had more water it would have froze.  But the up & go and soy milk froze.

Ingredients for condensed milk
Sugar - 41.0 %
Moisture - 31.0 %
Milk Sugar - 10.5 %
Fat - 8.0 %
Proteins - 8.0 %
Ash - 1.5 %

The Science of Milk

The Science of milk

Aim: Can we get Water out of Milk?-Yes it can but it will evaporated.

Process: (type in what was used and what was done,  in the order in which it was done)
eg Equipment
frying pan, plate etc.
First the milk was put into the pan which was heating up and it started to create a kind of bubble. When the milk was hot the liquid in it was evaporating and it changed into a sort of Milk powder.

Prediction: what do you think will happen and why?-Yes it comes from a living source which is the cow.

Method: what do you think made the changes happen?-The liquid became smaller and smaller because of the heat and it causes it to become dry. The water had evaporated.

Reflection on our Kindness Assembly

When we were doing our Assembly I learnt that kindness is not only acting friendly but is the meaning for many things.Kindness can be how you are nice to others and how you make their day or when you help a old lady cross the road.

Kindness to me is not only a virtue but is a way of life because like how Jesus lived his for the fullest of others.Living in kindness is like following in the footsteps of Jesus.Kindness is like being fair to others and giving then the respect they need.

Making our Island (Kindness) Mat

We were Learning how to make a Tongan Mats.We change them into Kindness Mats for our Assembly because we were working on how to show kindness to others.Every class got to weave one part of the School kindness mat.We started by using A3 coloured paper and you have to get one end of the long side and fold 5cm.Then you cut strips that are 3cm wide. Then you get a black strips that are 3cm wide and you put them in and out of your coloured paper.you can change it up by put out then in and you will get a Mat like colourful checker board.the extra's you will need are Scissors,Glue and a ruler to measure the length.
